In a market where most production is fragmented across offshore suppliers, Textiles Alive stands apart as one of New Zealand’s few fully vertically integrated fabric production houses. Every step - from design to print, press, cut, and sew - happens under one roof. This complete control allows us to guarantee colour accuracy, material consistency, and delivery precision that contract printers simply can’t match.
At the core of this integration lies our newly expanded 237sqm sewing and finishing department - a space purpose-built to meet growing demand for large-format fabric applications, from lightboxes and acoustic panels to tensioned ceiling systems and event branding.
Equipped with advanced Cronos automated stitching lines, programmable pattern machines, and industrial flatbeds, the new area has been designed for both speed and scale. Multiple operators can now work simultaneously across long runs and complex custom jobs, ensuring we maintain turnaround efficiency without compromising craftsmanship.
Sewing is where printed fabric becomes product - where the technical precision of our printing meets the tactile artistry of skilled craftsmanship. Expanding this department was not simply about adding more machines; it was about refining the entire workflow. The upgraded layout allows for:
This expansion reinforces our philosophy of “manufacturing without compromise.” When every process is handled internally - from colour management and sublimation to pressing, laser cutting, and sewing - the result is unmatched consistency and control.
For our trade partners, it means confidence: knowing every product leaving our facility has been printed, pressed, cut, and sewn by a single team with complete oversight of quality and deadlines.
As we continue to invest in local capability, the expanded sewing area is more than just a production upgrade - it’s a statement of intent. A commitment to keeping New Zealand manufacturing strong, delivering world-class quality locally, and ensuring every stitch tells a story of care, precision, and pride.
