degradation of colour: Dye-sublimation colour fastness is dependent on numerous factors such as UV exposure (direct and indirect), temperature of exposure, time of exposure, colour shade depth, chemical structure of the fibre and chemical structure of the dye. For this reason, all new graphics that are required to match in with pre-existing graphics that are older than 6-months need to be supplied back for colour matching.

colour shift: With dye-sublimation, there is an initial colour shift after completion of production when exposed to environmental conditions. This can vary between 3-5% depending on colour and in most cases is un-noticeable to the naked eye.

best practice: Printed physical proofs are recommended on all orders prior to production. If you opt for no physical proof for sign-off prior to production you accept full responsibility.

tolerance: Colour matching at the best of times is considered an art. Our team spends hours matching to physical samples, pms values, cmyk breakdowns, previous jobs and fabric charts. When getting down to the last few percent of colour matching factors as controlled lighting, fabric texture, direction of fabric and perception of the viewer come into play. At this critical point, and in conjunction with these factors, personal opinion also comes into play. For this reason, we suggest you allow time enough time for colour matching to your requirements.
